[ August 16, 2008; 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. ] This Saturday, run the largest road race in West Virginia– the Parkersburg News & Sentinel Half Marathon. The race starts at 8am and will be a lot of fun! Registration closes on Wednesday, August 13, and there is NO race day registration.

The audition dates are:
Singing: September 2, 2008
Acting/Reading: September 3, 2008
Dancing: September 4, 2008

Auditions start at 7pm SHARP at the Light Opera Guild theater.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which we love, has just been approved to paint a big, beautiful mural on the side of their building (located at 815 Young Street over near Green’s Feed & Seed). Now they’re calling for applications for area artists and aspiring muralists to propose designs for the mural.

This event happens only twice a year. The schedule is: Friday & Saturday - 10am – 7pm, and Sunday - 10am-6pm.
