[ART] Traffic cones have never been so cute!

Public artist Amy Williams is at it again. The artist behind the English/Spanish signs all around town turns her attention to traffic cones. Who knew the international sign of pot holes and driving tests could be so cute? “If you haven’t found your free Traffic Cone on the street, keep looking,” she warns. “They’re popping up around downtown now.”

Sissonville native Hillary Harrison is highighting, and reclaiming, modern southern culture in her zine Bejeezus. She and her Louisville-based team are already on Issue 11 of this full-color arts and culture magazine.

The current edition features three CRW locals. There’s a multi-page spread of photographer Mike Andrick’s black and white images of McDowell County. Chip Smith is included in profile of book collectors. And Jonathan Wood has two photographs - one of Chip Smith smoking a pipe in front of his big ol’ stacks of book and a found photograph of a man sleeping in front of a big ol’ pile of logs. Check it out - it’s a bargain at $8 and is available at Taylor Books.
