[ November 27, 2008; 7:30 am to 8:45 am. ] Pre-emptively work off that pumpkin pie at the Stonewall Jackson Middle School Turkey Trot 5K & 2-mile walk. Race on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 27 at Kanawha State Forest, Shelter #8 (pool). First 150 participants will receive a T-Shirt, plus prizes galore.

The dams are bustin’ open and that means it’s Gauley Season. Until October 19, you can experience Class V+ rapids (the scariest they let you ride) on the Upper Gauley River.

[RACE] Half Marathon @ Parkersburg
