Pies and Pints began remodeling the old Cazon space at 222 Capitol Street a couple of days ago. As soon as we hear of an opening date, we will let you know. Just received word that the BridgeRoad Bistro’s new venture, Bistro Express, opens next Monday. at the corner of Virgina Street and Summers Street in the former location of Sofia’s Gourmet Coffee. The actual address is 700 Virginia St E. It’s unclear what the menu will look like at this time, the Bistro Express’ website doesn’t [...] Shout and Hollers contributor and friend Rudy Panucci has posted a review of the year that was 2009 in Art, Music, Food, and other cool stuff of at his PopCult blog. During the last couple of years a number of restaurants have closed on Capitol Street. First Cazon closed in January of 2008. Cafe de Paris temporarily closed in the Fall of 2008 never to reopen. Charleston Bagel (formerly Chesapeake Bagel) closed in January of 2009. And Bellacino’s closed in November 2009 . The food is great. The service is great.
